I uninstalled - and at that point, the Virtual Router window "came up" and so I re-installed when the program had uninstalled. I got into the window, and it let me enter a login and password, after which point the window gave an error - which I did not screenshot (unfortunately) stating that the program was not in a proper state (or something like that). Then it didn't work anymore.

Has anyone else had this experience? Your program looks great, I'd like to try it.

I experienced the same problem. Until some months ago the virtual router would work, with use of an external wifi-adaper (rtl8187 chip) and using windows 8.1. I suppose in the meantime some updates have past, o.a i applied an update of Zonealarm firewall. To be safe i swithed of the Zonealam firewall.

I got the error message form virtual router: "The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the request question ". The very same appeared when i executed the hotspot creation commands from the command line.

I found a microsoft page describing this problem for windos 7 with a hotfix. As worke around for the hotfix it was sugested to switch of and on the wifi-adaper before starting the hotspot commands. I tried this method in windows 8.1 and it worked.
The page link is: (i cant find it in english)

Can anybode tell if the windows 7 hotfix might be applicable for windows 8.1? Or is there a simalar hotfix for windows 8.1?
