I can't get it to work.

description

The first time I ran it after I installed it, it worked fine. The next day I tried to run it again. As soon as I hit the start button it says Virtual Router Could Not Be Started. I have tried to repair it and uninstall it. I've tried to troubleshoot the compatibility. It still won't be started.

Please install the latest release, as it contains some bug fixes and contains more meaningful error messages.

Ditto for me. It worked fine, one time and after that I get the same message. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.

It seems not quite compatible with Win7

I found how to solve this problem!
Stop Virtual Router service through Task Manager and then start it again.
Even though there is a way to go around it, crew should do something about this issue.

Hi, for those getting the "Virtual could not be started", check my post on:
http://virtualrouter.codeplex.com/discussions/248029
It could help, or not ...

However, while the above fix worked for a while, I have reached a point where it just won't work any more. I can't start it anymore, and I'm getting "Can not manage Virtual Router. The Service is not running.". Killing the service and restarting it, or killing the client app does not help.
I'm baffled as to what could have changed on the machine that caused it to stop working.

it used to work (sometimes errors occour but disabling and reenabling both wi-fi in the network centre made it on again), but after installing SP1 i am unable to change the data and a weird connection shows with a aabbcc... mac address., connectfy also does not work anymore. i use a atheros ar928x on acer laptop.
