stops working after a while

description

although i haven't seen how long it takes, after a while the virtual router drops connections and any subsequent connections are unable to complete, it usually requires a system restart to start it working again. i've noticed this occur from within a day of starting virtual router to a day and a half or two maximum.
 
OS = Server 2008 R2 (i think it's only available in 64 bit, so yeah, 64 bit)
Wifi card: "RT73 USB Wireless LAN Card" aka Edimax something or another.

This looks to be an issue in Windows, not Virtual Router.

Hi yes having same issue in Win 7 32 bit with either the Edimax EW-7711Uan USB dongle or the laptop Atheros AR5009

I have the same problem, but not always. I also had it with Connectify so that's why i switched to Virtual Router, but I think it's a bug in Windows 7. I also noticed that I have over 100 tunnel interfaces when I run ipconfig in cmd. Contact me if you want the log.

I'll look into this when I get a chance. I don't think MS meant for this feature to run days on end, but really it should still work. Further information would be useful for troubleshooting.

hmmm, well, i haven't used it in a while (moved on to two NIC's 1 connected to a wireless router and 1 connected to internet (my uni network needs this kind of treatment to comply with what i want)) and i'm away from that computer for the summer, but i could try to give you whatever info you want from memory, just let me know what you need, i'd still be happy to help.

I had the same issue. It worked for a while, then it stopped. Connectify I used also, the mobile/tablet can not get the ip address.
