Using VirtualRouter with no Internet Connection

Apr 6, 2012 at 11:46 AM

Hey.

Is is possible to use VirtualRouter without having the host connected to the internet? I develop my iPhone website using VirtualRouter, Apache and PHP, but would prefer to be able to not be connected to the internet all the time that I develop.

Also, why can't I connect like so:

Internet > WinXP (AdHoc to) > Win7 (VirtualRouter) > Device

VirtualRouter wont let me start it using an AdHoc network with any platform.

Thanks in advance.

what you want is that you want to use only its wifi capability without internet to connect your network?

just dont share the internet connection of your internet...and it will work..

is it possible to provide hotspot WIFI without internet access? i would like to use my laptop as a webserver (using apache) in a remote area, and let others connect via browser. don't need any security, but i need to offer DCHP services so that unsophisticated users can connect. can this package do that? thanks.

This is now possible in the latest release of Virtual Router.
